Europe VPS
Hi,
I try to find VPS servers that located in Europe mostly. My target country is Greece but i am not sure what will be better a VPS in Europe or VPS in US?
Until now the companies i have find out some companis:
1. SolarVPS
2. A2B2
3. DEHE
4. EuroVPS
EuroVPS is very good but i am not thinking it because is out of my budget.
I thinking on SolarVPS. What do you know for they support services?
Can you suggest me some other VPS hosters in Europe and some in US??
Do you think will be better find a VPS in US or EU?
What do you think is better ... CeOS or Suse/RedHat, etc.
My Specs are:
Cpanel/Fantastico/WHM/Virtuozzo
a limit to VPS per server
Thanks in Advance

hi again,
I don't have time for testing because i have to change provider because half of my sites have problem. The support is not replying and my cpanel is not working.
Do you think because i am located in greece would i have big difference if i hire a VPS in UK or would be better if i do it in US??
As i told before i am thinking in SolarVPS but i wait some "reviews" from WHT users.
If i deside for a US VPS i am thinking ServInt or liquidweb. What do you think?
thanks again!

Hi,
LiquidWeb has good support and is fast (used them for awhile)
a2b2 is very good and support is very fast (used them for awhile)
about solarvps i can't tell much really as i haven't used them, same goes for servint.
With dehe i still have 1 vps and it's good, stable, support very good and it's fast, i'm on a NL server.
I'm from NL and UK/NL servers are usual faster, something i noticed myself and people who visit the sites, but it clearly depends on the server/vps and how it is setup aswell.
Maybe you can ask for a test ip or something like that, so you can test the speed etc.

zerotrance

Hi
i live in Greece too and have accounts both in USA and Europe ( UK and Netherlands ). If you host sites with heavy traffic, having files for download or large images/swf files, then a VPS based in Europe is the best option.
If you have low traffic sites or you are not concerned much about the download speeds then USA would be fine.
In my UK based account i am downloading 2-3 times faster compared to USA acc.
If you go for USA perhaps you should also consider knownhost.com. i have heard many good thing about them from friends and i plan to get a VPS from them soon.

3. a2b2
Is in the forum any reviews about those providers?
Thanks again all for the answers!!

I'm with SolarVPS, I posted a review in this forum a couple of weeks back, and they've been great, espcially for a n00b like me! They set me up with a customised package to suit my requirements and their support has been excellent. No idea about the other companies but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Geia sou

I've been looking a few weeks ago for a vps too, and I concluded with a2b2. I eventually went for a vds though, as it was much cheaper, but if I was to go for a vps, I would most likely go for a2b2, based on the reviews I found here and elsewhere... oh and the price

EuroVPS is a bit expensive for people that want to provide Budget Hosting, but it really is the most reliable way to go.

I'm in Australia, most of my users are in the US, yet I still host with EuroVPS in Europe precisely because of reliability. If you try to save a few dollars and go with a cheaper host I promise you it will come back to bite you on the backside when you get lots of downtime, and all sorts of odd things. EuroVPS is solid, no problems at all.

Hi,
I know that EuroVPS is the most reliable company but for now i wanted something more reliable of what i have. Until now i used a reseller account because i provide accounts only to customers i design their web sites also.
On my new account i dont have intension to sell reseller accounts, there will be hosted only my customers.
Now i am very happy i have a deal with SolarVPS. When i post a ticket, in minutes i have at least an answer and less than 15minutes the problems does not exist
I have post tickets 24 a day and all was replied very fast and the problems solved!
Thats great i suppose
and i recommend to everyone Solar VPS.

Hi Nikos. Have you tried checking out the Advertisement section of this forum for European VPS and Server hosts? I don't know about Greece, but there are many in German, the Netherlands, and the UK. Just search for "VPS Europe" in the ad section.

I just wanted to clarify that our European based servers are located in NL, not in UK. I hope that saves some confusion.
