How To Cope up With Inflation and Recession and Increased Running Costs?

    Hello,

How you people cope up with increased running cost and inflation over the period of time. There are 100's of customers who have been offered hosting for really cheap prices like 0.10$ for a month with unlimited domain plans (That was back in 2013, when cPanel had no limits and we were getting into the rat race of offering discounts over our pockets allowed). Now, will it be safe to say that prices are increased to this and we can't offer hosting anymore on this prices? or How you guys handle such situations?

There are also instances where we offered free hosting to WHT Members (Limited Plans but cPanel still costs per acc).

    Thanks..

Consolidate your legacy customers and raise your current prices for all future new customers or upgrades. Minus any hardware failure, all the shiny new toys and expenses should be focused on people paying the new prices. Your current customers are already happy where they are, so they're not knowingly missing out. If you must raise prices for your current customers (if it's gotten to that point), be as polite and as diplomatic as possible. Upsell the idea both by being honest and explaining how this increase will benefit your customers by not having to cut corners on service and support, as some other providers tend to do. As most hosting providers oversell, and I will assume you have, you can also argue that you are giving your customers something extra in the process (more space, for example). This business model works for the cable company, it will work for you too. YES, accept the fact that some of your customers may leave with the new price increases. As this happens consolidate further so as not to overextend yourself.

Increasing cost of your current customers should be the last option, while you could repackage the plans and offer it at higher cost to new customers.
