Apart from WHMCS or its alternatives, what other tools do you use to run your web hosting business?

I know most of us use WHMCS or its alternatives for billing, but what other tools do you use for inventory management, helpdesk/livechat support, vendor management, HR management, sales management/CRM etc?

As much as it’s a love / hate relationship, Jetbackup is a necessity, as is Zabbix (configured to alert through various tools such as Slack, Telegram, pushover , etc

Thanks a lot for sharing your inputs @whmcsguru. Yes, Jetbackup, Zabbix/Nagios, Slack etc are a necessity in today's scenario. But may I ask, what do you use for Inventory management, Payroll/HR management, Sales, Vendor payments? Any inputs on them please?

Is your sales / lead management also handled through ClientExec? How about inventory management part?

We are using a 2nd customized WHMCS for that in addition to the primary WHMCS. For HR we are using OneRecruit

Some of our favourite tools are the already mentioned Zabbix and Slack, as well as Hostbill and Nagios.

We use Hostbill and code plugins for it.
So all our Inventory has Row, Rack, and Blade right in the account. We then can reassign the accounts to different clients. All billing, Paypal and CreditCards are done through plugin modules.
We also use IPAM to assign IPs and then use ACL on our switches to prevent IP theft.
There's already a livechat built into Hostbill so we just use that.
Internally we use JIRA to track down sales and provisioning. Microsoft Teams for shifts and internal chat.

A lot has been mentioned already but two that I haven't seen so far are Snipe-IT and openDCIM. Both have been very helpful for us.

Any reason for not using default helpdesk in whmcs? Also, which tool do you use internally for accounting and inventory management?
