Unused IP Space, can I sell for $ or return back to APNIC

    Hi,

I am scaling down my hosting, and I have 4 x /24 IP from APNIC.

Can I sell the IP to someone or return back to APNIC?

If I can sell, what is the price range I should sell?

    Please return it to APNIC.

If you are reselling it others, you might get into trouble if the buyers are running VPN services. A lot of abuses will be reported under your name.

If you transfer it completely to the new owner, you shouldn't get any issues.
There are some IPv4 broker services available that you can use to find buyers for your IPv4 space.

If you own the allocations, or I should say assigned to your own ASN, then you can sell for somewhere around $20.00/ip all depending. There are a number of brokerage services for that kind of thing if you do a search. When it comes to leasing, that is a different animal and really depends on what it is you are looking to do. The prices tend to vary according to the terms and person or company doing the leases. If you go that route, ideally you are looking for a long term lease deal, like a 6/12/24 month as the odds are less likely for abuse.

Try and Find a way to sell it as they are 19-25$/IP.

Personally, I would look at the site here in the offers section come up with a price $20/IP is normal rates last I looked. This would avoid you dealing with a broker taking fees and the buyer most likely having some fees.

Just be sure to use some type of escrow to protect yourself and the buyer.

If your ranges are from the final /8 assigned to APNIC you cannot transfer it until 5 years have passed, in which case you find a use case for it and continue then sell it (most profitable) or you return it. Otherwise you can transfer it over (selling at a nice price ).

FYI, APNIC final /8 refer to IP range 103.X.X.X.

here is a list of IP broker registered with APNIC

You can sell it through broker, this will get good amount in return. If you don't want to get any amount and just close using it, you can return it to APNIC.

    Best is rent them out.
If you are looking for short term profit, you can sell them out right.
If you want to donate money to small biz, you can return the assignment back to APNIC.
