    Help with a mail problem pls?

    Hi,

    Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I wasn't sure where to post it.
    One of my clients send me a bounce-back email that he received. The error message he received was the following:

    <recipients address-removed for obvious reasons>
    SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT
    TO:<recipients address-removed for obvious reasons>:
    host mail58.mimecast.co.za Senders IP address-removed for obvious reasons.: 550 Bad CT IP Reputation -
    (reject) - http://www.mimecast.com/knowledgebase/KBID10473.htm#550
    This is pointing to a problem with a blacklisted IP address but which address is blacklisted? the senders address or the SMTP server?? Because I have checked both IP addresses to see which is blacklisted but none of them are showing on any blacklists.

    Can anyone give me some guidance here?

    Thanks
    Wolvy

    Possibly an error in your setup - look at your knowledgebase - you can:

    This rejection can be bypassed with an Auto Allow entry, or by creating a Permitted Senders Policy. - See more at: http://www.mimecast.com/knowledgebase/KBID10473.htm#550

    I would go ahead and have you or your support person setup your Auto Allow or change your Permitted Senders policy and try it again.

    Thanks My host has deleted and recreated the rDNS record so lets hope this fixes it.
