Blazingswitch, shame on you
i Have recently purchased a VPS from blazingswitch and spent money and resources migrating a few sites to the new vps and when finally i had it all setup and the intended goal from the migration was achieved and the sites started to rank well in search engines i received an Email from blazingswitch's support informing us that they will be Phasing out their vps's services and that we have to find another host for our sites.
now i agree that every business needs to make money to survive and if a service isn't making enough money it should be modified or shut down however this isn't the case with this particular company as they have just advertised these vps's less than 3 weeks ago (here) to decide to shut them down yesterday.
so i feel cheated by them as i can only explain what happened in two ways.
1- they needed some quick funds and therefore they sold these vps's and now they are shutting them down.
2- they are just a bunch of amateurs running a hosting business with no future planning and no idea what they are doing.
so in both scenarios there was no consideration of the customers situations and the loss of earnings etc...

I was going to post how surprised I was since VPS is the most profitable part of my business but no wonder if they're selling them for a $1. There's no point in selling something if you'll never make a profit on it.
It's also still being advertised on their main site, which is weird to me if they're phasing it out.1

I think it was only $1 for the first month but still thier VPS were pretty cheap so hard to have sustainability on that.

yep i noticed that too.
here's the email i received from them :
Greetings,
We are going to be phasing out our VPS offerings immediately. We have already modified the website not to take on any additional orders, and are phasing out the different VPS nodes. For us, this is a simple business decision as there is greater demand for dedicated servers and endless ip addresses then there is in the high bandwidth VPS offering that require more support and labor.
We would recommend that you move your VPS files as soon as possible as we are down to the last couple of VPS nodes. If you have any questions, please feel free to open a support ticket. Thank you for your business and years of patronage.

There are many amateurs running web hosting business. To get customers, they offer plans at cheaper price and soon they realize that their business is in loss and then they just shut down the company. It is a lot of trouble for customers as they have to go through migration and transfer process. Customers should avoid cheaper hosting plans and look for reliable hosting providers that has been in business for a longer time.

Well if no one ever gives new companies a chance there would never be any new companies.
We're technically a new company but have put enough capital back to run in the red for 10+ years if we have to. We don't have to but it's nice to know it's there as a safety net.0

Why would you choose them, their website's about page doesn't even work, so it looks like a half finished job.

It may happen, next time I suggest you to check carefully the website (Pages, registration date etc.) and reviews about it as well.
If you notice something wrong simply don't go with them0

You get what you pay for....
Has anyone ever noticed that most of the horror stories like this posted on the forum have to do with the cheap $1 hosts?█ █ RDO Servers - Shared Hosting, Resellers, VPS, Dedicated Servers, & Secure Clusters

Why would you even have a link to a TOS and About page if you don't have those pages there? I'm so confused on what they're thinking with this whole fiasco.

Or with EIG brands, but yeah, I've noticed that; it's probably because many new howst are kiddie hosts who only want to cash in quick money, but have no idea how to run a proper service and bail out at the first signal of issue.
Not all $1/mo are like that, of course, there are exceptions in everything; but it's indeed like that for the major part.My "ranking" is kidding.
I'm just a humble client, here to seek help and guidance from the true experts.0

it seems like blazingswitch support staff have found this thread as i received an email from them apologizing for my troubles LOL and explaining that it was just a business decision but avoiding to answer my question which is : why are the vps's being shut down just 3 weeks after being sold.
they then shut down my vps.
Blazingswitch is a joke.0

Am not sure @TierNET-Sam did say that every new host is a Amateur, He just meant that there are many kiddie hosts who would start a company during the vacations for some easy money. So you do your homework before going with any Host. Because your time is worth much more then the amount your spend on your hosting.
