DTC
Domain Technologie Control (DTC) is a control panel aimed at commercial hosting. Using a web GUI for the administration and accounting all hosting services, DTC can delegate the task of creating subdomains, email, ssh, database, mailing lists, and FTP accounts to users for the domain names they own.
DTC manages a MySQL database containing all the hosting information, and it configures your server's services and application for doing virtual hosting. DTC is compatible with a huge list of applications, including anti spam tools like dkimproxy, tumgreyspf, amavis, clamav, spamassassin, and courier-maildrop. It also connects to dtc-xen to manage and monitor the usage of Virtual Private Servers (VPS), it does the billing in general (including billing of dedicated servers), it has integrated support tickets, and more.
DTC is available for Debian (which is the main development platform), but not only. Some ports have been done for CentOS and other RPM based distributions, and FreeBSD.
DTC is currently the only control panel that is available directly as part of mainstream distributions, and that integrates with them perfectly: it uses only packages available in the distributions it targets, and it doesn't require a specific version of anything.
Here's some of the features you won't find anywhere else (even commercial solutions don't have them):
- Real-time bandwidth monitor for all servers (mail, web...) on each user basis
- Automatic IP update (dyndns-like feature), windows client included
- Antivirus and anti-spam with spam quarantine ("spam" imap folder) for mail
- Automated backup NS and MX between 2 or more control panels (with domain list exchange over HTTPS)
- Unix type independency (can run on FreeBSD, redhat, debian, OS-X...)
- Store-front integration with registration form and modular payment gateway options
- Mailing lists with many options (including moderation, header customization, and HTML archives)
- Package installer (like Fantastico) to be able to install many apps (phpBB, osCommerce, Drupal, etc...) in few clicks
- Translated to many languages (currently up to 12)
- Chrooted cgi-bin with execution limitation to protect your server
- Non-intrusive installer that will NOT destroy your current server config but only modify what's really needed
- No ugly daemon running; Apache is used directly (and there is no reason that it would be down at any moment...)
- Full support tickets, including reply by email
- Full billing, invoicing and email reminders
- Support for dom0 remote controling so you can resell VPSes
- Has billing for dedicated servers too
DTC is also the only web hosting control panel in the world that has been included in major Linux distributions like Debian and Ubuntu. There is also a CentOS version available that is working much better since summer 2009.
