    speed benchmarks of vps.

    Hi all,

    According the below stats.. What is the standard of my server related to the speed of the port.Is it fast or slow?


    root@ser1 [/]# dd if=/dev/zero of=download.test bs=1 count=1 seek=104857600
    1+0 records in
    1+0 records out
    1 byte (1 B) copied, 3.3e-05 seconds, 30.3 kB/s

    Are you talking about the port speed or the HD speed ?

    the command that you run is gauge the hdd speed when try to create file and it is not reflect to your port speed.

    what is the command to run the port speed?

    you can try to run:

    /sbin/ethtool eth0

    or

    dmesg | grep -i etho

    Or

    try to download files.....
