I've spent the last few day's going through every hosting company I can find, and i am extremely dissapointed with UK hosting companies! I understand overhead's maybe higher than in the US, but there were some UK sites still offering "Business Accounts" which offered 1 HTML page with 1 Graphic, unbelievable !

Unless any UK providers can prove me wrong, i'm going to proceed with buying US ! =))

Of course what he didn't say was that he might be in the UK but his server or where ever he hosts is located in the US

Sure? I thought you guys were co-located with Burstnet or have a dedicated server with them ;-) (so your servers are located in the US anyway, same as FTHosting)

In fact, let me confirm that...

From Samspade.org :

root.ultraspeed.co.uk corresponds to IP 216.10.4.252 - IP block : VDI / Burstnet.

Please explain?

Oops, one more thing : getting a DNS/server not reached error on them - might wanna check ;-)

The Server which we now put domains on is based in Nottingham England. Explains why the server is not quite as fast the cobalt server our site is on based in the usa.

Try http://www.webconexion.com. There UK based and I've had no problems the 2 years ive been with them.

They offer MySQL and PHP which is pretty good to. They do only offer 5MB,20MB,50MB and 100MB accounts though.

Config is easy too beacuse they provide a configuration panel.

There are quite a few good UK hosts so keep checking
