Our company is looking at several different SAN options including nexsan, dell, equallogic, stonefly, and netapp. I am looking into the network side of things. We will have 2 sans (1 in 1 office, 1 in the other, with replication inbetween) with only 2 hosts on each, so we are looking at directly connecting the servers to the san, meaning no switch needed.
The stonefly uses SFP+. From what i can tell by doing research online, the SFP+ Twinax cable has built in crossover. Meaning i would just need to get a sfp+ pci-e card for the servers and the twinax cables and i would be good to go. Does this sound right?
