SFP+ Server to SAN

Our company is looking at several different SAN options including nexsan, dell, equallogic, stonefly, and netapp. I am looking into the network side of things. We will have 2 sans (1 in 1 office, 1 in the other, with replication inbetween) with only 2 hosts on each, so we are looking at directly connecting the servers to the san, meaning no switch needed.

The stonefly uses SFP+. From what i can tell by doing research online, the SFP+ Twinax cable has built in crossover. Meaning i would just need to get a sfp+ pci-e card for the servers and the twinax cables and i would be good to go. Does this sound right?

I've connected machines directly to san appliances (EMC ax100's) via SFP's and fiber and have had no issues, not sure if that helps but there ya go.

If you can afford a netapp solution its an absolute no brainer. Give them a call and tell them the requirements, bar none best investment we've ever made. We even sell a few shelfs off to another client at the same data center.
