I was hosted with PCISD, everything was going great and they seemed like nice people. One day the server crashed and was down for quite a awhile. It came back up and all my files were missing, I was never notified about this and discovered it myself days later.

PCISD had NO BACKUPS of anything, although they promised daily backups. I cancelled my account and moved to a new host. A week after cancelling my credit card was charged for another quarterly payment. Derrick Bradshaw said he would look into this, and 3 months later he is now totally ignoring me and has not sent the money he owes me. I still do intend to get it back, if I could ever get in contact with him.

Our current backup and uptime info is posted on our forum at http://www.pcisd.com/cgi-bin/Ultraboard/UltraBoard.pl

We did have some problems with our backup and systems when moving to our new office which lasted about 3 weeks or so.

How about answering my e-mails about the money you owe? Why didn't you ever send out the check you promised months ago?

I am not alone on this, another customer of roosh.com had the exact same thing happen.

PCISD is kinda of messed, up I havent had any problems with them but the bandwidth just plan sucks... I asked the person why he charges a 8 dollars per extra gig, He said because i have to make money, I said well ithers only charge 1.5 or a max of 3 dollars per extra gig. He said that the others are retarded and they are liers !!! what an idiot..,

I would stay with pcisd, but the options they have are retarded. IF you really want a good host goto www.aplushosting.com they offer awesome deals including 30-35 gigs transfer/month for 35 dollars !! with 450 raid4 megs space and php4, sql, apache and a bunch of other stuff...

PCISD has apparantly disappeared....Maybe he made the cash he wanted, and bailed on everyone.

No, no one has bailed. The server is having problems with the place 4 hops down the line and until it gets fixed by those people the servers arn't able to get any connection through.

I'd have registered so I could change my little errors like that, but I always choose new passwords and end up forgetting them.

Ok, this post is to clear something up. PCISD isnt a bad host , they have exellent support, the best for sure..but you really cant negotiate with them that much, which is the main reason Why I will probably move to another hosts. but If if your site usues less than 5 gigs transfer... pcisd is really good choice.

If PCISD-ABCDEFG was that good, they'd have a backup provider, in case their main line drops. For instance, like now.

But then again, you do get what you pay for.

Not good.

Nukem, I think Justin and I have figured out a way to handle bandwidth.

Give him a icq when he is working next :-)

I'm surprised that you're unhappy with PCISD. Yes i admit their bandwith limit is a bit low, but i think their tech support more than makes up for it. I was having problems with my ubb, and Justin offered to install it himself! Also their 30 day pre-pay trial is great, and is really what made me depart with my cash!
