HostDime Reseller - Good or Bad Choice?

Hello everyone,
I am with another host until now.
I read some very good reviews about HostDime
and I am seriously thinking on going with their Reseller Plan.

Except for telling me your opinion about HostDime Reseller Plans,
I would like to ask you some questions about these plans
(for those who know this service better)

-Can I use custom nameservers?
-In case one of my customers' website gets suspended, does my whole reseller account get suspended too?
-What you see is what you get?

Thank you in advance.

I have 5 reseller accounts with Hostdime plus other services. I have been with them over 5 years and keep coming back.

Hostdime will only suspend the one account and not your whole reseller. They will work with you to find/fix the problem on your customer's site.

"What you see is what you get?"
Not sure what you mean by this, but if it is "Do you get what they advertise?", then definately yes.

That is quite possibly the most important question a reseller should ask their potential host, but yet it is very rarely asked. I bolded this and pointed it out in hopes it helps others.

There are many reasons why an individual account could/would get suspended, and in many cases they are not the fault of the reseller (directly) so it would be disastrous to repeatedly have an entire reseller account and all sub accounts suspended in the event of a problem.

I would go as far to say almost every reseller will experience an abusive and/or fraudulent account within the first few months of becoming a new reseller. This question helps determine the focus of a host wanting to service resellers as it does take a little more work to deal with things on this level, but any serious reseller should demand this.

Almost all host provide private nameserver. Even if they don't provide you can create yourself also if you have edit DNS in your WHM.

Generally only affected website is suspended, but you cannot be very sure. Clear these doubts with new host before making payment.

I will prefer to ask doubts via mail or support ticket instead from live chat representative.

Hello 8stars,

Thank you for your interest in our services

-Can I use custom nameservers?
Yes, we can set you up with your own custom nameservers such as ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com

-In case one of my customers' website gets suspended, does my whole reseller account get suspended too?
Under no circumstances would we suspend your entire reseller account as a result of your customers. We typically disable the problematic folder/files and use the account suspension as a last resort.

-What you see is what you get?
I will let our other customers answer this question

Hello dear HostDime representant
and thank you for your feedback.
Judging by what I can read here, your service is hopefully going to be very satisfying.
I just signed up with you half an hour ago and my account has a pending status.
I also opened a ticket to ask you a few more questions besides the above.
I am looking forward to receiving your answer.

I have never seen any bad reviews for Hostdime so far. Well, you need to tell the difference between a real bad review and an unreasonable customer

I believe it is a good service. I have a buddy who runs his own webhosting company who uses them. There an enom reseller, I also know one of there staff members who work at HostDime, Luis(connection) he states they resell domains for eNom. So, I believe it's an alright service to start off on, but for a big jump into the domain corp, though.
