For those of you considering this in comparison to Rackspace Cloud Sites, it is important to point out that you have SSH access to each individual web site on our system - this enables easy management of files and also means you can zip/unzip at will. As I understand it, this requires a ticket to be raised on their system.

Hi Paul, sorry I missed this earlier for the fastest response it's always best to email sales@tsohost.co.uk

We have numerous measures in place to protect against both these types of attacks. As an established hosting provider it is something that we have dealt with in the past so we are experienced in providing secure hosting environments. As standard, we would always deploy 'hardened' server configurations, for instance.

With regards to denial of service, depending on the size of a denial of service we could deal with it in several ways - the load balancers in front of the clustered hosting platform can often deal with most smaller denial of service attacks that would normally knock out a single cPanel server for instance, larger attacks we would handle at the network edge and even larger attacks we would co-ordinate with our upstream transit providers.
