what is your problem you guys... this thread implies outright downtime... not only is the other thread 8 pages long with a bunch of useless filler... but dv2 clearly said they won't reply in that thread any longer... so if one needs a reply, they need to post here... yes? no?

damn, dv2 give you some sort of discount for shooting down negative threads about them!?

especially you BurtonHost... the URL was already posted... why post twice? if you were typing the message while the other post was made you could atleast just delete ur post n make it a space...!

fyi y'all... i am seeing ~15% packet loss right now to www.dv2.com (and its not my DSL)... i guess i should add this site to my monitoring app n i can get a nice graph of latency n an accurate uptime rating...

oh... also... the last post on the other thread... did you not notice this person's post regarding their serious displeasure with the dv2 service in relation to repeated downtimes (i believe i see more posts about their downtime than ucg, lol)... ???

the post on the other thread was made prior to this thread being started... hence this person obviously knew of the other thread...! so burtonhost, your question is pretty dumb...

doesn't repeated downtime / extrordinary slow site access defeat the purpose of multi-homing?? yes? no?

Weird thing is, I have had 0% downtime with my server there. None of my network monitors have gone off.

It might be different racks/routers they are attached to? Don't know. The only downtime I had, was when my serverload hit 350+ on friday, so I had to get them to reboot it. Then an hour later, Bind fell over. Turned out a user was running some Half Life realtime stats program that was flooding the server with HTTP requests.

Makes that a little hard when it is down while you are working on the network. For the past 2 hours, it is up and down every minute.
