Didn't recieve client password DirectAdmin
Hello,
I've ordered a DirectAdmin license through my VPS provider and he only gave me the ClientID and the LicenseID. He said that I should contact him if I would for example want to change the OS for DirectAdmin to work with, however I rather have the password but I also know that he won't give it out to me.
What should I do now? I'm completely new to hosting DirectAdmin on my own VPS and I'm not even sure if he's allowed to resell licenses, although I suppose he is since he should have access to the DA internal license program.
The reason that I don't contact the official support directly is that I don't want to risk a possibility of the license getting suspended, since I've still paid for it for 13 months. ( If DirectAdmin does suspend licenses that is. )
Regards,
Martijn
P.S. I'm not naming the company because I don't wish to have any problems with them.

During installation, the only 2 things you need besides the installer package is the ClientID and the LicenseID.
It seems your hoster gave you everything you need, is this your first time installing it yourself?
** edit: now that I have taken a better look at your nickname.... if you want me to help you a bit in your native language, give me a PM, I'm a bit reluctant on using anything other than english here.

The issue is that I don't use Debian which is the setting in the client database of DirectAdmin, but instead I'm using CentOS 5.5. Thus I need to access the area in order to change that setting freely.

Just ask your host, it's a quite common request, it will costs them nothing.

But knowing my host that will take up to 3 days, seeing as they aren't that fast with support. However their servers are of great quality, which is why I'm still with them. What do you think that DA support will do when I contact them about the issue?

They will tell you to take it up with your host, since they cannot know if the license you contacted them about is actually yours

Actually they are able to do that. As you can see on their contact page they also ask for your root password, together with your server IP.
And the server IP is connected to the account. By connecting to that server IP through SSH and typing the password they are able to verify me as the owner of the license.

Log into your VPS via SSH, using the root user, and run the following commands: Put the LicenseID and ClientID in when it asks you for them.
The password for the admin user will be shown when finished installing.
You need to contact your host to change the OS that DA expects to be installed on. DA will only deal with their direct client, your host.

You can always try, I don't think they will suspend you for it, they may contact your host and tell them to fix it.

I just got an email back from DA support. They manually changed it to CentOS for me.
