Sorry, but I'm in Denmark and I don't know them. The reason for my question is that a traceroute shows a percentage package loss from 10-30 at various Verio nodes. Traceroutes in the past have often shown packet loss at their nodes/hops. Are they better than Cogent (hopefully).
Thanks
John

verio is much better... if you are thinking of being directly in one of their tier-1 premiere datacenters...

funny we bring all this up
verio is down
all the /16s in an entire class A appears to be down... maybe more, but thats the one i noticed... can't traceroute past my ISP's router... i tried from my servers in 5 other datacenters, same issue... can't traceroute past the datacenter's router... tried from a bunch of places on traceroute.org... same thing... tried from a few of my dedi servers on the east coast on verio... works fine... wierd! seems only my sh*t on west coast is affected... wierd cuz my traceroute to east coast servers goes thru the west coast pops... but my stuff on west coast in san jose, traceroutes go thru palo alto...
heh
someone try n do a traceroute 128.121.227.9 ...

Looks like there are some major networking issues somewhere - can't traceroute to west-coast verio server from anywhere.

There was a recent bandwidth study (anyone got the link?) and if I remember correctly Verio didn't rank very high.
There are people offering Verio bandwidth at $100/mbit so they are very competitive.

i've always considered verio one of the cheaper providers... BUT... if in one of their premiere datacenters in one of their "hub cities (such as sterling, va)", its a world of difference compared to just being on a feed from verio... my opinion atleast...
