Equinix Cage Cross-Connect Charges?

Hello,

Would anyone happen to know if Equinix charges cross-connect between cabinets within a cage? My understanding is that they run the cabinets within the cages so I am under the impression that they will charge cross-connect fees for connection within a cage.

Thanks!

If you contracted for both cabinets, no, Equinix doesnt charge for the x-connect.
If it is a 'public' cage, with multiple private cabinets, and you want to connect to a different customer within that cage, yes, Equinix will charge you. Standard rates are in the $500 setup plus $300 per month, yymv.

If you have a private cage, you can run cabling between your cabinets yourself.

If you have a cabinet a suite, then add another cabinet in a different suite / cage, they would charge you a one time setup fee but no monthly.
