Can you ping the IP?
Looks like your named services down or firewall issue.

Your nameservers are down.

Edit /etc/resolv.conf and add

Code:
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4
...after whatever's in there, and it'll all be good again.

Thanks SSH is pining now. I don't know if this is related, but cURL was working find until few hours ago too

Quote:
<?php
curl_setopt($curl_login, CURLOPT_URL, 'http://google.com');

curl_setopt($curl_login, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, 1);

$test = curl_exec($curl_login);

curl_close($curl_login);

?>
This still returns a blank page, which was suppose to show a google page

This seem to be another issue now. Make sure CURL is installed on your server.

Anything performing DNS lookups would have been failing, curl included.

google.com is a 301 redirect to www.google.com, I believe. Try using www.google.com in your script.

And yes, PHP should be compiled '--with-curl'

Thanks layer0. www.google.com works. My cURL was fixed due to the resolv.conf edit Previously i can't even cURL (not oggole) and now it's working

anyway will the nameserver change affect anything?

Yep... name resolution won't timeout any more.
