Dear Communitech
On February 10th, 2000, We placed an order for a dedicated server,
www.intobeauty.com, with
communitech.net . Steve promised us free upgrade to Windows 2000 after
Microsoft released its new operating system. It has been more than 1 month
since we have placed this order.
On Thursday February 9th, we called Steve again to see whether or not our
server was ready. Steve once again promised us "Chad" (the Technician) will
install Windows 2000. He said: "The operating system is new, so give him
(Chad) a couple days to work on it. He will get it done in 5 days.)
Today we called again to find that Steve is no longer employed at
Communitech. We were then was transferred to Chad. When explaining the
situation to Chad he was unreceptive and unwilling to get a supervisor to
adress this situation. His comment was " we will need to pay $250 to $375 if
we want to upgrade to Windows 2000". We are very frustrated. Your staffing
problems are not ours and your service has bee much to be desired for.
I am a web developer. I occasionally refer my clients whom I develop
webpages for to Communitech.net. I have to inform them on Communitech.net
prices, and now I learned that I was mispresentd by Communitech's saleperson.
The business that we purchased this server for an e-tailing site. I have to
continually update my boss on the status of this site. I need an answer as
whether you are going to honor your obligations or else we will have to take
our business else where.
We are asking Communitech to fulfill Steve's promises. That is, to refund our
March dedicated server fee (because we didn't utilize it while waiting for
Communitech to upgrade our server to Windows 2000), and we request free
upgrade to Windows 2000.
