Current offer is $50 from ShaunR

The blog comes with that license, I believe, they can't be transfered seperately.

I'll end the bidding on Sunday (22nd)

Yes, although it does currently have access to the VB 4.X editions of the forum, but you'd have to keep renewing access, to be able to download it.

Or upgrade the forum license to 4.0, then it wouldn't need renewing.

Forgot to add that.

Thanks
Just wanted to say, I'm waiting for a WHT staffer to verify the license is indeed tradeable, but ShaunR has confirmed it himself with Vbulletin in the mean time.

EDIT:

Could you explain a bit more about the upgrade to v4? You say you currently have access to v4 but you have to keep renewing access to download it? How much does it cost to renew?

And if I download it and then don't renew it, am I still free to use v4 if it's already installed?

Sure thing.

If you kept the current license active (Assuming Vbulletin/IB offer renewals for 3.8), you can download any current version of Vbulletin, including the 4.X series.

The cost of renewal is $30 (3.x - 3 months Maintenance Pack $30.00), for 3 months (I paid $50 to renew the current license about a month ago)

Yes, but you wouldn't get any updated versions of Vbulletin 4.X, unless you renewed again, OR you purchased the Vbulletin upgrade license. (Current price - $175.00)

Oh and once you pay for the upgrade license, you won't have to pay renewal fees for the 4.X series again (unless they bring out 5.X)

That sounds wrong because AFAIK since the release of vB 4.0 (December, 2009) they aren't allowing people to renew their old 3.x licenses.

vBulletin 3.X 3 month maintenance pack

As part of our release of 3.8.6 shortly, the last "bug fix" release of vBulletin 3 series, we have created an option for customers to renew their expired 3 series owned license.

This program is available to anyone who has a vBulletin 3.X "owned" license (i.e. not a leased license) that is either expired or active and it will add an additional 3months from the renewal order date for the following fees:

* 50 US Dollars
or
* 40 Euros
or
* 30 GB Pounds

IF your license expired in the 12 months prior to purchasing the extension, as thanks for your valued support, we will add a discount to your purchase:

* 20 US Dollar discount (i.e. 3 month license extension for 30USD)
or
* 15 Euros discount (i.e. 3 month license extension for 25EUR)
or
* 10 GB Pounds discount (i.e. 3 month license extension for 20GBP)

These maintenance pack option will be available early next week (week starting July, 12th 2010)
And

This is available today.

I might add - to clarify some confusion regarding this. If you purchase this pack, you are able to download and run all levels of vBulletin you have access to. This may include access to, and the ability to operate vBulletin 4.

Purchasing this pack, however, may not allow for updates to these products (or any other) that are provided beyond the 3month time frame that is purchased.

Yes they are NOW. Read the announcements forum at vBcom. They created a new package, which allows you to renew 3 month intervals. That gives you updates to latest versions. So you pay either $50 or $30 depending on how old the license is per 3 months or $175 for unlimited access.

So at the end of the day the vB3.x licenses are not worthless anymore. You can renew them at anytime. So essentially if you don't upgrade a lot buying a 2nd hand vB3.x license saves you more $.

If you plan to use vB4 long term, then you are better off upgrading.

My interpretation is that most people like using vB3.x over 4.

Anyways good luck with the sale. For anything less than $75.. that's like stealing from the OP, as it's dirt cheap.

EDIT: Looks like the OP posted just b4 my reply.

I was thinking you paid a US$50 vB 3.x yearly renewal fee (not available since 4.0 was released) instead of the maintenance pack which is indeed OK.

Sorry for the misunderstanding and coming back to the thread my current offer of US$52 remains as the best :-)
