US toll free numbers for Non US resident!

    Hi all,

I was wondering if you can point me in the right direction.

I need a US toll free number and Google is not helping me much.

What i want: (If Possible) I want to be able to get a US toll free number and forward all calls to my Phone server (Trixbox).

Either by setting up the US SIP trunk on my phone server or if i can just automatically get the number forward to my main number in Australia.

    either way i dont care.

US voip / numbers work some what different to Australia, so i am a bit confused at the moment. but if you know a company that can do the following please let me know!

I hope i have this in the right section, As it is for my hosting busniess.

Our calls go through a hosted PBX system who also offer toll-free US numbers. They are a very well respected VoIP company over here in the UK.

Although there are couple of vendors, make sure the numbers are portable to any other vendor. If you are not sure how much minutes you received a month then try to go for only the number and then pay per minute . And last but not the least they should support email / phone and chat.

We use Callcentric for a DID and use a SIP Client/Softphone to connect to it. Works great, though lacks the bells and whistles.
