Mencoder error...pls HELP

Hi

I am experiencing a strange error while running mencoder on CentOS 5.5
Its just that when running mencoder conversions, the server, after a few minutes of starting the conversion, stops accepting any kind of connections including ssh.

The frequency of the error is
-when running 1 conversion at a time,sometimes.
-when running 2 or more conversions at a time, always.

ANy1 else getting/got the same error?

You might want to try the RHEL 5 version of mplayer available from the rpmforge repos.

Also, have you tried invoking mplayer from the command line, and did you have the same problems when you did?
