Hi there,

May I know is it possible to create a administrator in Windows Server 2008 R2 (data centre edition)? So that this administrator is allowed to create new virtual servers using the Hyper-V, but is not allowed to touch/edit/delete existing virtual servers which are already setup?

And is there any available software to simplify the creation of virtual servers on Server 2008 R2?

I am not sure about granularity access per VPS to a user in Hyper-V Manager, I have never done or researched about it.
Your best bet is to use either SCVMM per user and create an account from there, you will be able to let a user manage only a few VPS servers.
You can also try Websitepanel, it's free.

+1 for WebsitePanel - it will provide you with functionality of user level for accessing VPS along with automating various task like configuration update/VPS setup/etc.

I have did some research. But couldn't get much as I couldn't actually install WebsitePanel on the windows server yet. Hope you guys can advise!

I know you can use WebsitePanel to manage VPS created using Hyper-V, But are you able to make the VPS creation using WebsitePanel?

Yes you can easily manage the VPS from Website panel.

Any one has tried SCVMM Self-Service Portal? That seems its also a good option for such requirements but I`m not sure of its security and possibility to provide it officially to your customers.
