ffmpeg-php install error

Hello everyone,

I'm attempting to install ffmpeg-php on my CentOS 5.5 64bit w/cPanel&WHM but run into issues.

I've installed everything needed.

Used the

rpm -Uhv ...://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.3.6-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm

Then ran

yum install ffmpeg ffmpeg-devel ffmpeg-libpostproc mencoder

But when I try to install ffmpeg-php-0.6.0 I get this;

root@server1 /usr/src/ffmpeg-php-0.6.0# phpize
Configuring for:
PHP Api Version: 20041225
Zend Module Api No: 20060613
Zend Extension Api No: 220060519
shtool:path:Error: failed to create temporary directory `./tmp/.shtool.22140'
touch: cannot touch `./tmp/.shtool.22140/shtool.tmp': No such file or directory
shtool:path:Error: failed to create temporary directory `./tmp/.shtool.22222'

autom4te: cannot create ./tmp/am4t4701.22304: No such file or directory

root@server1 /usr/src/ffmpeg-php-0.6.0# ./configure && make
-bash: ./configure: No such file or directory
root@server1 /usr/src/ffmpeg-php-0.6.0#

Any idea's would greatly help!

Thank you so much.

I would have installed ffmpeg and other related modules by downloading the tar and compiling them rather than installing a rpm. This type of installation has always worked for me at least.

Hi,

Check your /tmp folder, it seems it is full or no rights for you to right and/or execute.

Regards,
Bobby

Yes, Try changing the permission of /tmp folder

Quote:
chmod 777 /tmp -R
Also you can use the following script to install ffmpeg automatically in the server. http://mirror.ffmpeginstaller.com/ol...ler.5.1.tar.gz

The script is working and is a very good one.
