Domain Trademark

Hello everyone,

I have registered a nice keyword (.com) domain name which was dropped and i found that there are many established companies having the name in different extensions.

Lets say that the domain name for example is HostCity.com and the other companies are HostCity.net or CityHost.com, etc

Is this is a trademark issue ?

How can i know which domain name was created first, and if the domain i hold was created first, does this make me safe.

I would appreciate all kind of inputs.

I would try to sell it back to one of them.

It's very likely that you could have a trademark issue. Are the other companies in the same industry? If so, I believe you won't be able to use the name.

I don't really think it would matter if your .com domain was initially registered first.

If you decide to proceed anyway, I would definitely speak with an attorney who has experience with trademark law.

I think you may land into trouble.
But better to ask a lawyer.
