Why does my server remove all IP address when I restart network?

After restart network, I check the ifconfig and all the IP except main server IP is missing. I have to reboot the server to get the IP back.

    Is this normal?

Are you using cpanel? Run the following command :

    PHP Code:
    /etc/init.d/ipaliases reload
    or
    /
    etc/init.d/ipaliases restart
