Are most of the users on this forum Computer Science or Buisness majors?

I suspect half the WHT kids are aiming to be:
Majors of Success.

In Reality though they often end up as:
Major Disasters.

Nope, and I will admit that I started hosting as a "Kid" but thankfully I'm one of the "good ones". Considering I started hosting on a PC at home with LAMP configured from the ground up from scratch and grew it into a business from there.

Wanted to be a History major, ended up being a Criminal Justice major.
This is just a hobby.

Honestly, I don't even like computers. To me, they're just another hammer or screwdriver. Nothing more than a tool for a task. So no, I'm not even close to IT.

Not business, either. They give away MBA's like toilet paper the past few years, especially from those online "colleges" (word used loosely). I sometimes think fast food managers have more business sense than many MBA recipients. Business degrees have become the modern equiv of a sociology degree.

I'd also mention that I'm not a student, I've been out of college for a long time now. This question appears to assume most users of WHT are students. Given the people I've met on here, that would be a flawed assumption.

The fact that students and kids are trying to run hosting companies that businesses rely on is honestly a bit unsettling. I vet my hosts -- I need adults that I can rely on, not kids who may be too busy partying or doing homework to fix issues.

Sorry if I sound grumpy, but that's just my take on it.

I was a dual programming/networking major, but I got sidelined by history of which I know an insane amount. My parents keep suggesting I go for a degree in history or mythology since I study the mythology of most countries. But then I also am very into piercings and tats, and tied to get an apprenticeship as a piercer. I'm all over the place. Who knows how it will end.
