Layer 2 Switch w/ 12 Ports SFP + 4 Port 10Gb
Topic title pretty much says it all. Looking for a recommendation on a switch, preferably stackable, that can do 12 ports gigE via SFP, and 4 ports of 10Gb. Only need this for layer 2. Vlans, link aggregation support, SSH are the only real requirements.

10 Gbit copper or fiber?
'Ripcord'ing is the only way!

Do you know how much back plane capacity you need and what is your budget?

Not too concerned about the back plane honestly. The SFP 1Gb ports would be aggregated into a 10Gb going into the core. Budget is a bit cost sensitive, but would also like to hear about some actual solutions folks have deployed.

Unfortunately, I need to take gigabit fiber connections ... copper is not an option

Dell 6024F stackable, but you have to get rid of the 4x10g links on it. However it has 24x SFP ports on it.
We have a few of these deployed, we also just ordered a dell 8024F to accomplish 10g aggregation.
Best part of the 6024F's are they are 1500ish each.Yellow Fiber Networks
