Where to look for sponsors for my free webhost?

Dear members of WHT,

I know WHT is not the place to look for free stuff. But this thread is only for getting some information from you guys as this is the most active webmaster forum.

Currently I am running a free webhost with about 200 websites hosted under my server. My current sponsor was being great to me. They was providing me a VPS and also a cpanel licence. It worked handy at the beginning. But now, the resources are not enough for me. Mainly RAM & bandwidth.

Of course I can contact my sponsor and ask for a upgrade. But I think they have been too good to me. So I don't like to.

Currently those issues mentioned above causes my webpages load very slow and sometimes timeouts. I think it because the VPS is not enough to handle many clients a time. I have about 130 uv a day for my main website and many more for my client's websites. That may be a reason too.

So I am looking for sponsor/sponsors to get more resources. I would love to buy a server in my own and host my clients there. But I am out of credit still. And I am not familiar with earning money through my websites.

Can anyone suggest me some place to look for sponsors? That's what I am currently on. Or can anyone suggest me a way of earning some $$ though my website besides Adsense?(Because I use it even now) So I can host more clients and expand my services.

Thank you for spending your valuable time to read my thread.

start selling domain names and SSL both direct and reseller accounts?
then you should look at getting your own VPS or D/Server.

Is it profitable?
I have a domain reseller account from reseller.biz. But I don't advertise for it. Thought it does not create a good income.

I am doing it even now. But no donations
People only wants a free service and they give nothing in return. But very bad reviews when the services goes down.

What do you think about letting users to complete surveys(not forced)? Will it help me to get some profit?

Just out of curiosity, what was your goal when you started your free hosting service?

You mentioned you are not focused on advertising, but what were your plans if the service out grew your current VPS plan?

You may want to make some long term plans to somehow create a self supporting service because as a free hosting service, your client base will continue to grow and if you are not creating any revenue from the service, it's simply unsustainable.

Thanks for your curiosity

As you said, I have long term plans.
When my website get higher rank, I'll start selling advertising space. And maybe I would start reselling VPS and Dedicated boxes from my sponsor.

But for now, I don't look for a profit. Just looking to expand and serve my clients better. So I can become a huge website someday In that day, me and my sponsor are both at success.
