How do you answer this job interview question by sounding original yet sane?
'What is your greatest weakness?'
This isn't for an actual interview, but i'm curious what you guys come up with. Everyone seems so fake in job interviews, typically responses to this question would be similar to, "I work too hard", etc.
Saw some funny answers on another forum, probably not really appropriate here though

I would not mind you to pm me the link
Food
I have tried a interview with that and said this: ( I was just testing how well it would work out )
"Look im not going to give you all that crap about how I do not have a weakness or I worked to hard etc. I do have grammar issues but not bad enough for people to have major issues understanding me."
Nothing big but that's what I say 90% of the time.

Yeah, I just hope all my possible employers have a sense of humor.
My biggest weakness? "Latino women, am I right? *high five*" (Never actually used it!)

Always follow it up with ..."thats why I concentrate extra hard on this area so as to make sure that the work I do is of a very high quality" (or words that suit the scenario) and then you can't go wrong.
Everyone has weakness but people want to hear how you deal with it and turn a negative into a positive.

I always thought to say this and then after awhile I thought " Every potential employee says this. Why not actually stand out and say something different. Half of the people who say it are not actually working on improving it just working on getting the job."

I think that question has become a cliche, and SimonMc's answer is a good one. What good interviewers tend to ask these days is a bit more focused: "Tell me about a time when you had a problem in a project...[or had an impossible deadline, etc.]"
Focusing like this, but leaving it open, allows the candidate to say what they did without going into Freudian analysis about their personalities.
So, for example, here's what I would call a good answer: "My team was writing the user manual for a new system that was still under development, and the programmers had no time to meet with my writers to answer their questions about the system. I first tried speaking with the programming team lead to see if there was a way that he/she could free up someone's time for this. But the time pressure on the software team was just too great. So I had my writers document the system and mark every place where they were unsure of a function. In the margins, they wrote their questions. But the questions weren't allowed to be open or general: the main text had to say what the writer's best guess was, and the question in the margin would be whether the text was correct, or if instead it was answer B or C. This made it easy for the programmers to quickly review and circle the right answer instead of taking time in meetings to discuss the issue. The guides got done on time and shipped with the product."
A bad answer, on the other hand, would be: "I wrote an email to the other team's manager, and my manager, and three levels up the hierarchy, to make it clear to everyone that it wasn't my team's fault."

"My greatest weakness is my addiction to porn but I'm hoping to develop a substance abuse problem eventually which will be even worse"
"Greatest" weakness? A question written by a moron obviously.
