    Editing an image.

When I had my site designed, the designer added the pricing information on the front page as an image. The pricing and other information has since changed. What would be the best way of changing the image?

    Thanks.

It would depend how complicated the image is, if its easy to recreate do that.

If not contact the designer and ask if he can do it or ask for the .PSD file so you can easily edit it in the future.

Another option is to create the pricing with HTML text, easier to edit than an image

Is it the price just an image all by itself, or is it combined with other images. If it's a combination of images with info and pricing, then hopefully the designer has the original design files with the layers intact. That way you could just alter the layer with the pricing and you're good to go.

So first thing is I'd check with the designer or look through the files that they gave you to see what you have. If it's a complex image and it's just a .gif/.png/.jpg then it might be a bit tough to change the pricing without making it look bad.

Do you have a link to the image? Or if you would prefer not to never mind.

emu if your site is emuhost.com and these are your images it is really pretty easy to edit these from the .png files available from your site and then just upload them in place of the original...

You lost a little of the gradient in the green on the ad background but if you use a shadowed text like it originally had it probably wont be too noticeable...

Thanks I think. But what is +rep?

Actually the original PSD Probably carried the original gradient over to the second column in the top image more like this one rather than having the baby blue field with no gradient...

Yes looks better with the gradient throughout that column.

+rep I was referring to other forums which you can reward helpful posters with rep (which you cant here).

Why would that be exactly? The PNG image is real time size and if edited and replaced in the proper manner it can be a seamless edit.

The images are present in .gif/.png/.jpg, it’s difficult to change, so you have need designer help. If you changing that image without designer help, it should be shown bad look
