Hi I am a newbie and I was wanting some info IP numbers in regards to owning a reseller account

1. What are the benefits of a Dedicated IP Address with a reseller account?

- you can setup reverse dns entries for your hostname / nameservers, so this adds another layer of anonymity

- if all your clients are setup on this IP: then in a case of ddos attack/nullrouting of another site on server (with diff ip), your IP will be ok...

I do not see other benefits...

Some things depend on what control panel are you using.

You can also install a SSL Certificate - it's not a benefit but you know what I mean...

Interesting second point! While rare.. that would be yet another benefit to a dedicated IP.

Otherwise, the more typical use of a dedicated IP being that of an SSL certificate for your domain.

Thanks, for your imput, I have a few more questions regarding within WHM and Whois?

With a reseller acount, in WHM in regards to the domains listed should your Dedicated IP Address be listed on your nameserver account only or does it automatically apply to any new accounts you ad?

When you whois your nameserver account, should it display your dedicated IP Address or your providers ip that you have purchased from?

When you whois the new domains you ad to your reseller account should they show only your dedicated ip?
