I've had a VPS account (dv) on MediaTemple for a little over 2 years. I cannot say enough good things about them. I've been in the computer biz since I built my first PC from chips in '83. I've run help desks, large and small. MT has the finest tech support I've ever encountered: competent, responsive and professional.

The hardware and networking is top-notch. I recently upgraded my service and the additional resources were allocated immediately and without hassle. They have, on occasion, helped me with issues that were really not their problem, such as server configuration.

They are not the cheapest deal in the hosting market, but I believe they are the best value, especially for a VPS.

Good to hear that you are happy with them. Report your domain/IP to the mods, so that the review gets validated. You can report it through the report button.

I am sure their VPS plans are great as well as their dedicated containers for MySQL for the share hosting plans are a MUST.

For anyone that wants to get their 20 buck a month shared hosting plan , do not plan on running any MySQL based applications.

They will tell you a 7 second delay on a MySQL app is norm. Then get you to pay another 20 bucks (total 40 bucks) for a shared plan with dedicated MySQL plan.

I mention to them they should not even offer MySQL on the 20 buck plan ...

Anyway just a heads up - not speaking bad other than the fact they should not offer SQL on the 20 buck plan, and I was not too happy about them telling my that 7 second delay on a MySQL dbase that was not used at all was normal for a shared hosting plan.

But I agree the Grid technology is pretty cool.
