Looking for Master Reseller
Hey, I have had a reseller account for a while now, and I think it's time for my company to move forward and grow a little more. I'm now looking to sell reseller hosting, therefore I need either a VPS or a Master Reseller but I believe everything should be done steady and slow so i'm not soo much looking into jumping into VPS already.
So, Master reseller - requirements:
Bandwidth: 500 GB
Disk Space: 250 GB (I'm looking at a 2:1 ration to band pace)
Location: US, although not a must
Budget: $10 - $15 USD
Platform: Linux
Control Panel: cPanel/WHM
I'm too sure which script to use to maintain reseller accounts, I heard WHMPHP and WHMReseller are the most reliable.
I do not need SSL/Domain reseller; nor do I need need WHMCS/Clientexc
So for cPanel features, general features + softaculous, fantistico are a must
I hope I have provided enough info for you guys to show me the right or somewhere close to what I'm hoping for.
I was looking Rack0 but wow I don't want to offend the company but that is what I call an incredible overselling company. Also their TOS makes it perfectly clear you aren't allowed to go anywhere close to your quota(ie: 40,000 inodes ;/)
Thanks

Greetings, I am sorry, but there is no possible way to get 250 GB of disk space for $15.00 per month. This would involve A LOT of Overselling. On a $10-$15 monthly budget, you are only looking for around 10 GB Space.

I guess I overlooked my pricing and my search
Would I be able to find perhaps 50 GB space, as 10 GB would be very low

Hi Ryan,
Wow, what a request. While you're looking see if you can find me a 2010 Ferrari California for $4,000.00. Just kidding. I'd be willing to go to maybe $10,000.00
In all seriousness Welcome to the world of Reseller web hosting. You could go with an "unlimited" master reseller, but I'm fairly certain inode and other TOS related restrictions would block you before you reached your 250 GB requirement. If you truly need that much space I'd look for a cheap Intel Atom server with a 250 MB hard drive.

Haha that cracked a smile on my face on this humid day
Tbh, I'm not going to go get myself a 5000000GB hosting account just so I can tell myself "damn i got a lot" when in reality i can only use just so much. I think I would rather go for a host providing something small and are honest saying that is exactly i can use and no other restrictions will reduce that.
I unfortunately can't edit my initial post, so I will just say it here..
Space: 50 - 60 GB
Bandwidth: anything in proportion to the space
And I'll increase my budget $15 - $20.
I hope I have coped my request to the reality of "the world of reseller hosting"
I took a look at theprimehost.com, being in business for 9 years, I would have definitely given you a try but you don't have master plans, and even if you did, I probably couldn't afford it.
Thanks for the feedback

Your budget is a lot more reasonable now for what you are looking for. Have you tried looking at the offers posted below in the "Reseller Hosting Offers" forum?

Thats much better. You should be able to find what you are looking for and still receive quality hosting for you and your clients.

Would anyone like to shed some light as to why every time I find a reason and probably reliable webhost, their TOS/AUP just rips me apart?
As I mentioned above Rack0's TOS is utterly strict
I was looking at DMEHosting and I found their plans too be extremely attractive but when reading through their TOS...there is a $50 unsuspension fee. Now I'm not saying I'm worried I'll do something stupid..but my reseller's clients may..in which I won't have any relations. Not to mention there are not money back guarantee on any plans besides shared(which does not affect me). And they just seem to have everything set down, kind of scary to be honest. Not that is'a a bad thing but gosh.

Personally, the $50 unsuspension fee sounds a bit rediculous to me, especially because unsuspensions can be automated (or if not, only really take the click of a mouse to process).
What other strict TOS's have you found? I'm surprised that you are running into this much trouble

Indeed, that must be new as I specifically only recall them offering Master.

I would recommend a VPS solution if you are looking for the ability to resell reseller accounts.

You will still be oversold with that budget. If not oversold you will be put on a server that is completely loaded! I would find a reputable company with the budget you have. Do you really need all the specs? If you do, then you are going to have to shell out some more money in order to get what you require (If you don't want to be oversold).
Anyhow, I have a reseller with DMEHosting.com and EZPZHosting.co.uk DMEHosting provides unlimited resources for some reseller packages along with good features like a WHMCS license and such. They have been great for me. They (DME) provide Alpha Reseller accounts which give you the ability to create Master Resellers as well as Resellers. I hope you find what you are looking for!

Hey Matt, how is your reseller account holding up with DMEHosting? I'm really looking forward getting hosting from them. Are their servers overloaded(in your opinion) because as you said my specs..DMEHosting offers 50 GB space and 1,000 GB Bandwidth. How is their support? And one last thing, what's your take on their strict TOS?
Thanks, I really appreciate it Matt.
