Running a paid to click website requires a high availability hosting services due to the high usage of server resources. Paid to click websites tend to use a lot of server resources due to the amount of traffic they receive and many database processes in progress.

When selecting a hosting to host a paid to click website, the first step woudl be to review the Terms of Service or contact the hosting company and make sure they accept paid to click websites. Most hosting companies do not accept paid to click websites due to high server usage.

MikeDVB, PTC stands for paid to click websites.

We've hosted several clients over the past few months on our VPS services, I believe they were running similar type sites. They came to us saying their shared hosts suspended them due to high resource usage so the above would be true.

Yeah, PTC sites are known for high resource usage and about 30-40% of them turn out to be fraud for the end user. I think PTC hosting although a good niche if all the software and such where provided to the user dealing with the complaints and ddos attacks that can come with ptc make it a challenge.

PTC is something we consider as very high risk, Same as MLM etc too. If its a new PTC site shared is ok otherwise i wont recommend shared hosting for ptc. VPS or dedicated will be good choice for them

I will explain it in short terms.

Free users click on 200+ ads from the site every single day for about 1-2 cents each. Other users will pay money to get more per click. A good size one will be getting about 5000+ queries a minute depending on what else it is running.

A lot of them are known for having a user pay 20 dollars in order to earn things and then not getting any money and the site closes a month later.

Let me get this right. This is different then running google adsense on your site right.

This would be a site you go to, and it says click here for your free laptop, you then click and go through a hundred different ads before getting nothing.

Right?

Greetings,
With PTC and PTH (Post to Host) Style hosting, you are asking for a slew of abuse reports and DMCA's, I would not ever advise that that be done ever.

Nope, thats different, PTC is where you just view a webpage for say... 30 seconds and get a penny for it.

I'm not sure about that. We've hosted clients with these types of sites over the past few months, they come and go but never really had to deal with any DMCA.

I think you'd need to look at where the money's coming from to [possibly] pay your users. If you wanted them to click on Google ads, for example, you'd be going completely against Google's ToS and Google would close your account PDQ. Other ad networks might have more liberal terms but if so, effectively, they'd most likely be cheating their advertisers. Ultimately no sane advertiser will knowingly pay good money for worthless clicks.

I personaly Own a small ptc with a aurora script

this website can run easely on almost any host that allow to send email to your member so no email limit/h ( happen to me once the host had a 300 email limit/hour so half of my member didnt get the email and i got them back $&(#& )

take in consideration that banner can cost a lot of bandwith so i host mine on imageshack and save 5-6gb/month BW and only have 600 member

read tos some host dont allow ptc
