live chat software with windows and linux operator consoles

Right now we use kayako as live chat. Their windows consoles works fine but with their linux console, it does not work on a centos system which what our techies work with. Kayako is looking into this.

Does anyone know of a live chat software we can buy, no monthly fee ones, that offer window and linux consoles or login a web-based? Would love to have login into live chat from iphones.

I have looked at everything ... help live center, stardevelop, livezilla, phpliveinc. These are all hosted on your own server.

We have different types of systems like centos, windows, mobile. All our operators or staff work from different systems.

Has anyone found a solution?

+1 for Zopim. I prefer it to Livezilla even though I am paying $19/month for it.

Zopim is a live chat hosting service and livezilla does not come with a web-aed operator console. You can only log on by a windows app.

Looking for a software we can buy and place on our server and either web-based operator console or a console for different OS like linux and window. mobile app like iphone would be a bonus.

I actually use CraftySyntaxLive. They have a Web Based console that works in Linux (as I use Linux as my primary OS), for a small donation you can even get a mobile version

You can try http://comm100.com which is flashed based / Hosted on there servers it's free. They've a couple of more features on there system to.

We tried several before settling on livezilla and it's absolutely fantastic. The operator client gives you loads of features and you can fully customise it because it is full open source. It's on our homepage http://www.stratogen.net if you want to check it out in action.

Ive uterlised a few craftysyntax was decent thoe looks a bit dated now days livezilla is quite popular but some say can be a bit memory intensive.

Many years ago we started using PHPLiveSupport. While it's really fallen behind in recent years, it's at least stable and works with any OS (runs through the browser). I have to admit I'm not thrilled about using it, but we want something we can access anywhere, from any OS.

Theres a few chat programs in fantastico if you guys have it why not look into them? i find they work ok and are very easy to use.

As you're finding out, with the idiosyncrasies of software-installed live chat "Operator Consoles" it may be easier to find one that is web-based (vs locally-installed).
And as long as you have a 'late-model'

web browser you shouldn't have trouble running a web-based console with Chrome, FF, IE, etc.

I would suggest phplive from osicodes. It's a bit old but they're promising an updated version soon. Since it's browser based it's works on virtually any platform.
