Billing servers

Hi,
I want to ask you which is the most suitable way to organize the billing of many servers.
First - to automate the billing so then clients don't pay the billing software stops the server.
Second - The billing software sends a message to administrator to stop the server then the client don't pay. The administrator stops the server manually.

In the first method the billing process is highly automated and errors can occur. But the second is more unpleasant for the administrators.
Which of bought do you prefer?

If you are managing many servers your best solution would be the first option which is automatically stop the server at the time the customer does not pay for the server.

The first option will save your time and your administrators time, since the first option will be fully automated as the second option would be manual.

Don't operate without it

Ok, Ubersmith can disable the switch port but what if we have dedicated server with many VPS machines on it? Switch port disabling is not suitable in that case.

During your professional experience did you often see clients to forget to pay? If I choose to do the billing manually is it going to be daily task?

I would choose this one ->

Second - The billing software sends a message to administrator to stop the server then the client don't pay. The administrator stops the server manually.
