We have multiple gigabit uplinks onto the high quality RapidSwitch network (AS29131). Edge switching onto the network is provided via Cisco Catalyst 3750's with redundant capacity, and the ability to increase our external connectivity to a maximum of 4,000mbit per rack if required.

My guess is the Firewall on that particular machine is blocking the requests.
