I just wanted to know if anyones used NOCWorx before or is using it? I mostly see big companies using Ubersmith..and looking at NOCWorx's features it looks a GREAT deal better.

Is it available yet? The screenshots look very nice, but gathering from their website, it doesn't seem to be available yet?

Well I'm just judging from their website. I guess I could be wrong. A search on WHT shows some people talking about pricing a few months ago in the $1500/month range + $1/device.
Keep us posted if they respond

Forasse, the price you have put up is correct. NOCWorx would work best if you have large client database and you need a single point management for a lots of devices. Ubersmith would be cheaper alternative.

I have no experience with Nocworx but have been using Ubersmith for years extensively and am very happy with it. I would recommend contacting both companies and ask them for a presentation of their product. Then go from there.

We've been working closely with the NOCWorx team and they're definitely putting together a quality product, but it simply isn't yet to the point of being complete and fully functional. Certainly has a ton of potential though.

Ah that really sucks. Was really looking forward to using it. Do you know if theres a timeframe to it being complete?
Ubersmith is great. But TBH i don't like the frontend. It could be much user-friendlier.

We currently develop our own control panel. This because the commercial panels like Ubersmith lack one very important feature: allowing clients to reinstall the OS on their server or boot in rescue mode.
I was very suprised to find that these datacenter control panels do not offer a feature that is so important to clients.
I also do not see it in the feature list of NOCWorx.

All this panel does it make it easier for clients to access with a nice GUI.
Quite a simple feature to add to WHMCS for example.

Ubersmith and NocWorx features sets are fairly similar, but NocWorx published pricing is more expensive. Ubersmith has also been at it for alot longer.

It is a planned feature, don't believe it is fully deployed yet, so yes, not yet on the feature list. Though that isn't really that important for us anymore, since all new dedicated servers come with IPMI and then access to our PXE system, so customers can just use that for re-installs or a rescue disk, etc.
Also, I guess it is useable, just not yet with the feature set that would convince me to switch from Ubersmith, as a lot of those features are still being worked on.

It's like the DukeNukem of the hosting world. It's always "soon" and it's been like that for what 3-4+ years?

From what I heard it was a bump ride during years 2 and 3 but is back on top again now. I know that CaroNET use NocWorx and when I was over there, using the system is really amazing. It's well managed and organized and it looks a HECK of a lot better than Ubersmith does.

It's actually a production product now? I had given up hope for it and chalked it up as vaporware. Will have to check it out.
