VPSs wont reply to Ping [$10 If you fix it]
Hi,
I am the owner of a small VPS / Seedbox / Web hosting company.
Both my SolusVM and WHMCS were working flawlessly until yesterday.
Now, when i create a new VPS in WHMCS, it creates it in SolusVM (like usual) and it says its online, but when i go to connect to it via SSH it times out. I also try pinging the ip, and getting friends to ping the ip, no response..
Its weird because I have an IRC service running on one of my VPS's, and I can connect to that fine, but when i ping the IP that it runs off of, it dosent reply =/
I had to put my whole business on hold because when someone buys a VPS, they cant even SSH to it to do anything..
If someone would teamview me and try to figure this out i'd be willing to pay $10 if you fix it ^^
My AIM: TAJonny07
Thanks!

Sounds like the default firewall on the host machine is active. Try stopping it on the node

Yes, Jonnyrockets07@hotmail.com
Add me.
I've restarted the node if that counts for anything? Still to no avail..

What OS template are you using? Could be a number of things, but usually for us its involves us installing ssh on the vps since it was disabled/not installed with the OS template we use.

Turns out my Isp blocked the icmp and all i needed to do was use a socks4 proxy via Ssh and it connected fine.
