Asterisk - Reloaded

Hello,

Sometimes when your system just can't handle it any more, asterisk tends to shut itself down and reloads.... I would like to know the system stats, memory usage, swap, etc right when this happens, please let me know how to achieve this.

Any kind of help would greatly be appreciated!

Trang

Hi Trang,

It sounds like you've run into a bug.

Which version of Asterisk are you running?

You can also use SNMP and software to create graphs of the data like Cacti.

Maybe it would be good to talk to more Asterisk specific groups?

You could also dump a debug to an external server, which should give you all the logging you need to troubleshout the issue.

You could use munin - http://munin-monitoring.org/, easy to install and produces nice graphs.

I agree with Mark though, you shoudn't really be seeing Asterisk shutting itself down.
