    * Rochen Ltd. hiring experienced Technical Support and Linux Sys Admin

    Rochen Ltd. (http://www.rochen.com) is looking to add another member to our team in a full time position. This is a technical support role so excellent communication skills and decent Linux systems administration knowledge is required.

    Rochen has been established in the web hosting industry for many years and is a UK registered company with servers in both the US and UK. This would however be a remote position. We are not looking to hire or consult with any kind of outsourced or offshore support company though.


    Duties would include but not limited to -

    * Responding to support tickets via our help desk.

    * Responding to server outages and keeping clients properly updated.

    * Writing knowledge base articles and developing documentation.

    * Scheduling tasks and carrying them out efficiently.

    * General communication with clients through forums and other platforms.

    * Working with our co-location and data center partners on issues.

    * Being available beyond defined shift hours if an emergency or special circumstance should require it.


    Requirements -


    General Skills / Requirements:

    * Several years experience in the web hosting industry. Preferably dealing with premium shared hosting and managed servers. Both in support and systems administration preferably.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are absolutely essential.

    * Ability to communicate to both novice and technical clients in ways they can understand.

    * Ability to work as part of a team and work on projects with other team members.

    * Ability and willingness to learn new skills quickly.


    Required Technical Knowledge:

    * Advanced knowledge of cPanel / WHM.

    * Advanced knowledge of the Linux OS.

    * Knowledge of Apache and PHP.

    * Knowledge of MySQL.

    * Knowledge of Exim.

    * Other hosting knowledge and ability to troubleshoot all of the above.


    Optional Technical Knowledge:

    * Advanced knowledge of Parallels Virtuozzo Containers.

    * Knowledge of r1soft CDP Server.

    * Knowledge of Windows Server and Exchange Server.

    * Programming skills in PHP.

    Will you be interested in receiving a resume from a Spanish technician in case you consider expanding your operations to Spain or other countries were Spanish is the main language? I have experience both in Linux systems administration and technical support to customers. My english conversational skills are somewhat rusty as I haven't used them in years but I can read and write it perfectly to communicate with the rest of the team. And of course my Spanish is perfect.
