UK/London SIP Trunk Provider?

Hello,

Does anyone know of any good reasonably priced SIP trunk providers in the UK/London areas?

We'd like to add incoming phone support for our company, but international rates at Vitelity are fairly cost prohibitive.

I figure pulling a local provider out there would be a better idea, so I'd like to hear your input!

Thanks,
Matt

When you say 'incoming phone support' are you just looking for UK based DID/s, or will you be making outbound calls too?

UK DIDs are fairly inexpensive (you could check here - http://www.callwithus.com/), also calls to landlines are cheap too. Calls to UK mobiles are much more expensive, unlike in the US.

Hi,

I use a company called SipGate for UK VoIP.
They are a German company with UK operations as well.

It's free for an inbound UK geographic number (I have a London 0207 SIP number). Your credit is pre-paid via CC but you can set it to auto bill so there is always outbound credit.

I use this with FreePBX (Asterisk) and it's great.
The outbound rates are pretty good too.

Support was not wonderful at first but I think has improved significantly over the past few years. You can pretty much do everything online anyway so not much need to contact them.

You do need a UK address though it seems.

Regards,
Andy Ashley.

+1 for SipGate, have been using them for a few years and the service works well. Especially with Asterisk. Never had contact with their support, so I can't comment on that.

I'm using Eutelia. It's an Italian company but offers geographics numbers in the UK as well for free.
