NYNOC -> Steadfast: Support during migration
It's been several weeks since Steadfast took over my VPS at NYNOC. During initial hardware problems on the old server, and now having successfully made it through the migration to a Steadfast server (which seems to be running noticeably faster than the old one), I was impressed with the helpfulness of the Steadfast support staff and the timeliness of their replies to my tickets.
So I decided to look up the actual response times to each ticket, some of which included research, and some of which were fixes or quick answers to questions. The operative word here seems to be quick. Have a look at these response times (the tickets are in reverse order, with ticket 1 being the most recent):
ticket 1:
2 min
4 min
4 min
3 min
1 min
1 min
0 min
3 min
ticket 2:
7 min
11 min
25 min
ticket 3:
3 min
42 min (including research into the problem)
ticket 4:
1 min
3 min
11 min
Of course, as a client, one hopes not to have to open tickets at all. Meantime, however, I'm very pleased with the responsiveness of the Steadfast support team. And, by the way, these are real responses, not automated ones saying "we've received your ticket and someone will be handling it, etc.".
I'm a happy customer.

I agree with you Atarim, support is a lot better , all of my non critical support tickets are answered within minutes. They are doing the 2nd migration (NY) now, it is a lot more organized than the first migration(Texas)

Great to see that NYNOC is starting to receive positive feedback again. Great work Steadfast!

NYNOC been sold to Steadfast? or just some VPS clients?
Like Jonathan said good to see some decent reviews about them, I actually used them a few years ago, was hell.

Cool, and cool again.
NYNOC should be a good expansion for Steadfast, kind of the more budget hosting, but looks like their experience is improving the service.

I have a VPS there - from that great price deal NYNOC offered a while back - and as I said, I'm very pleased with the quality of service from Steadfast. They did indeed buy all of NYNOC, not just the VPS operations. The NYNOC price and the Steadfast service are a good combination.
My migration was part of the NY migration.

The VPS listed on steadfast is fully managed, that is why it is expensive. The VPS listed on thenynoc.com is cheaper unmanaged. There are offers in the "vps offers forum", something like $5/$6 for a 512MB ram vps and $12-$14 for a 2GB ram vps, just search nynoc or thenynoc in the vps offers forum.

I have to say that nynoc support was pretty pathetic before the steadfast purchase as well, but after, it's just simply astounding. Karl and crew took a company that was known for bad support and turned it completely around. Thanks guys!
