    Large php/mysql development project (>$5000)

Project is for a US Department of Justice Grant.
    Hardware portion:
We need two servers setup with LAMP environments and secured as necessary, with grsecurity, suhosin, mod_security, etc., and pen-tested to assure security. A Dell R510 will serve as a DB server, and a Dell R210 will serve as the web server.

    Software Engineering:

There is a current system is written using ASP.NET/MSSQL/C# that we would like to convert to PHP/MySQL or PHP/PostgreSQL. The current program is at: http://www.ahrq.gov/research/epri/ you can view specs and all relevant information, and also play with a demo of the system there.
We would like a mapping function integrated into the finished system that would use the Google maps API as well as some other minor tweaks.
The mapping feature is currently based on ESRI mapping and we'd like it to use Google Maps, the new version should let a user enter a query to find all the resources within a specified radius, and display them on the map with a mouseover of transit distance, contact information, and quantity of resource available.

Quote should include estimated hours, rate, and total costs, as well as some company / developer information.

This project is currently in quote gathering stage of planning.
Principals only, must be US Citizens.

Qualified quotes will be added to proposal and contacted if proposal is accepted by Grant Agency.
Post quotes here, or by PM.

Are you fine with sourcing out the infrastructure aspect (i.e. servers) to a separate firm or do you prefer having both tasks handled by the same firm?

Sorry Antony, we would prefer to keep it with the same company, as invoicing from the federal government is very very complicated.

I am currently in the process of quoting your project as it is a big interest to us. We are a small company of two people who provide services directly. We are able to provide the infrastructure to support this and also have the penetration testing background to provide the testing you require. The only questions I had is the following:

    * Do you currently own the hardware that is required to run this or are you looking for a quote that includes the hardware/hosting/management?

    * Would there be any maintenance to this project or once its complete, will it be managed in house by yourself or the organization?

    * What type of security reports are you looking for after the pen testing has been completed?

You may email me at bryan.benway@gmail.com or post your answers here. Thank you.

    Frozen,
We currently have the hardware in our datacenter, it's just sitting there waiting for OS and whatnot.

The security report just needs to satisfy me that the system is secure, whatever your usual reporting method is will suffice.

    Maintenance will be handled internally.

    Hazzel,
I did not get an email from you that I see...
Companies are accepted, but they must be US based, no foreign contractors.

    Hazzel,
Anyone working on development for this US federal grant must be a naturalized citizen.
Sorry to exclude you, but it's federal law.

It's against the law, how can you "hope" to work with him?

Anyways I wish I could take this project axe but I'm not qualified or experienced enough in PHP/mysql. Hope you find someone!
