    Monitoring Services

Hello, I would like to ask one simple question. Is there any demand for monitoring services such as Hyperspin, and is it profitable to run such a site? As far as I know you could make a some money of it.

Sure there is a need and a market for this service. As far as it being profitable not sure. You'd have to program the site, and make sure it is accessible 24/7/365. If you can get that done then the monthly fees will just continue rolling in.

There is certainly demand for such a service, but at the same time you would need to offer a good feature set to differentiate your offering enough to stand out.

Definitely focus on the right revenue model (monthly fee vs ad-supported vs other options), and you should be able to do well -- especially if you can monitor from mobile locations.

Yes, it is profitable if you target the local business or offline market. You can even use it to bundle with existing products.

There is a demand for an uptime monitoring service.

If it's at least 3/4 the quality of hyperspin or pingdom at 1/2 the price I'll be knocking down your door to sign up.

Call me a cheap !@# don't worry I've been called worse

There is no doubt a huge demand about monitoring services, but you should concentrate on uptime and Quality rather than price. Hosting companies would not mind paying a bit more if they are assured that they are getting 100% uptime and good quality monitoring service.
