Just looking for a recommendation for the easiest/ad free/cheap license for chat apps.

As we have added quite a number of support agents, our paid option, providesupport because too expensive as most of the others did as well. We opted to try comm100 and have no complaints thus far. We've been using it for over a month now with no issues. Livezilla only works with windows, so we had to look for another alternative.

Many said that LiveZilla is a great chat application and is free. I've never used it anyway, but had been using chat application from LivePerson.com.

I also agree with Livezilla, it's great! The only downside to the free version is the ads in the operator window, which can be ignored by clicking the geoip tab. There's no ads for clients though. It tracks chat and also lets you know when there's visitors and all the information. I used a few different chat clients, but Livezilla is my favorite.

I think LiveZilla is complete crap. I suggest taking a look at Kayako or Live Person.

Yes, before you buy any commercial software, try LiveZilla first, you download EXE file to your PC which installs Agent console (messenger) and installs all required software (php files) directly on your server.

We use kayako live chat its have a great features and are satisfied with the service.

LiveZilla is completely a crap software, at least for me. It make unnecessary server load. And the windows software is not a good one. It will disconnect often and will not reconnect automatically even if we activate the automatic reconnect feature. We are trying kayako at this time. Seems 100% good. I'll try comm100 today

but it is not web based..
