Fujitsu MBA3147NC 147GB 15000 RPM
Hi
I find this drive very attractive, price at newegg is ONLY $179.99, HALF price of seagate same type
I did search on WHT and found that someone mentioned Fujitsu usually appear on GOV 's server? isn;t it a good sign if gov dept use it?
I then go check rackmountsetc.com and apaq digital, none of them use it
any one has real experiences on it and any pre-built servers provider could try provide it ?

The reason that is so cheap is its not SAS, its old school scsi u320. If you're going to do a modern setup using newer raid cards you would want MBA3147RC (not NC). We have over 1,000 of the MBA3147RC's in use and the failure rate is rather low, we are quite happy with them. We also have alot of the Seagate 15k.6 drives in use, both are nice drives. Good luck.

Seagate Cheetah 15K.6 ST3146356SS 146GB 15000 RPM 16MB Cache SAS 3Gb/s 3.5"
only $190 now

Fujitsu makes good drives. They're not as popular, probably because of lack of marketing, but they're quality drives.

Their laptop's quality kinda suck. Or is it that only their drives are decent?

Using a bunch of Fujitsu MBA3147RC for a while now, no issues, and was cheaper than all the others. They are good drives.
