So I was doing a factory reset today on a 7961 I have and it was hanging at the upgrading screen. And my mistake, even though every site I read said not to do this, I unplugged it because there was nothing going on with it. Now it will boot up but show absolutely nothing on the screen. I am trying to flash it to a sip firwmare from sccp.
I turn it on, hold the # key and then hit 12345678*9# and then it reboots (still a blank screen). I have a dhcp server/tftp setup with tftp32 and all I am getting is requests and discovers (wireshark) for dhcp. The address is never actually being assigned to the phone so it cant even begin to pull down the firmware.
It is saying 2120 Request 2 not processed in the logs for tftp32. I am honestly at a loss here and not sure what to do. I have tried the 3491672850*# combination as well for the phone but that seems like it just keep going through the boot phase after hitting pound then resetting itself for a normal boot instead of the 123...combination where once I hit the last key it immediately reboots.
Im really hoping this isnt bricked and some people have some ideas on what I can do to get this phone back working.
I also tried the tftp32 program on both windows 7 and xp with no luck on either, same error both times. I also did try plugging a normal computer into the switch and it grabbed an IP address just fine.
