Issue with partition sizes

Ok basicly i got my new dedi today.

Installed virtpanel (Great piece of kit i might add)

it has 1TB space and 8GB ram with 4 cores.

Problem is its selecting the partition with 2GB space to put all the templates into...

Quote:
[root@node ~]# df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda5 2030736 1949120 0 100% /
/dev/sda8 912876764 204728 865552592 1% /home
/dev/sda3 10154020 1511156 8118744 16% /usr
/dev/sda2 10154020 329112 9300788 4% /var
/dev/sda1 101086 47584 48283 50% /boot
/dev/sda6 1019208 34128 932472 4% /tmp
tmpfs 4038820 0 4038820 0% /dev/shm
Any idea how i can change it so it uses sda8?

PS: I have limited knowledge on Linux (In process of learning)

Server uses CentOS and OpenVZ

Boot from a rescue disk, and re partition the disk.

delete the /home partition ( sda8 ) ,
use the resize2fs command to resize the sda5 to the new size you want to have.
then re-create the /home partition with the left space.

another small tip ,
use " df -h " , not " df -k "
-h as in human readable :-)

Good Luck!
